Since 2011, Leistungen für Bildung und Teilhabe (benefits for education and participation) have been taken into consideration for children, teenagers and young adults in addition to their regular monthly requirements.
This also includes additional extracurricular tutoring/learning support.
School pupils who
Sometimes pupils find it hard to learn a subject, and then their grades in the class tests are poor. If the low performance continues, then the report card grade may not be sufficient. This may be prevented by applying for tutoring costs to be paid for active work on this learning difficulty and appropriate support.
The pre-condition is that the school confirms a support requirement, recommends tutoring and no other comparable school provision exists or is sufficient.
Tutoring lessons are eligible in two subjects, for two hours per week, for the time up until the issue of the next report card.
At the latest when the grade in the report card is disappointingly poor (4, 5 or 6), an application should be submitted for the costs of tutoring to be paid. To do this, simply take the MACH MIT : : Nachhilfe & Durchblick (Tutoring & insights) : : form from the “Komm – Mach mit” checkbook, and complete the front page of the application. Ask the school to complete the back page of the application, because an estimation of the teachers/school is also required with the application. On the basis of this evaluation, the administrator decides on the basic provision regarding the award of the benefit. Should a draft contract for a suitable tutor or a learning support institute already exist, then this will be taken into consideration with the approval and the support work can begin. If parents have not yet found a suitable support possibility, then a decision can also be made after receipt of the notification.
The contract is handed in later, appropriate costs for suitable and required tutoring are taken over by Pro Arbeit. The payment is made directly to the service provider.
If the learning difficulty cannot be remedied within an approval stage, then please file a new application.
Guidelines for completion of the applications KOMM – MACH MIT
